Important Luggage Information

Luggage compartment availability and size limits can vary depending on the bus company. We recommend checking with the bus company ahead of time to confirm their specific policies.

Items That Cannot Be Checked

Hazardous items (such as explosives or sharp objects), folding bicycles, musical instruments, pets, golf bags, and similar items cannot be checked. Additionally, fragile items are not accepted as they cannot be insured.

Items Allowed Inside the Bus

Valuables should always be carried inside the bus and stored in a small bag that can be managed on the overhead shelf or at your seat. The average size of a bus overhead shelf is 24 cm in height and 30 cm in depth. We recommend placing hand luggage, excluding valuables and fragile items, on the shelf.

❶ Regarding Food and Drink

In general, eating and drinking are allowed, but it’s recommended to choose foods that are not strongly odorous and are less likely to cause motion sickness, such as sandwiches, rice balls, or snacks. On the other hand, it’s best to avoid fried foods, hamburgers, and alcoholic beverages like beer. Some bus companies prohibit alcohol consumption, so be particularly cautious on night buses.

❷ Smartphone Usage

Please refrain from making calls, and either set your phone to silent mode or turn it off.

❸ Music and Game Usage

When listening to music, please ensure there is no sound leakage. It’s also best to limit the use of electronic devices like smartphones, as sounds from buttons or bright screens can be disruptive to others.

❹ No Smoking Inside the Bus

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bus. Please smoke only in designated areas during break times.

About Breaks at Service Areas

The bus takes a break at service areas every 2 to 3 hours for about 15 minutes. Since the break time is short, it’s a good idea to use the restroom before boarding for a smoother trip. Most bus boarding locations have restrooms, so using them before boarding will give you peace of mind.

Lights Out on Night Buses

On night buses, lights are turned off between 11 PM and 12 AM. After this time, the use of smartphones and other devices is prohibited. Please complete any necessary actions before lights out or during breaks outside the bus.
